Our Sweet Baby Girl

Dear Sweet Pea,
YOU ARE OUR LITTLE BABY GIRL !!! We are so happy we know who you are and we can finally identify you. Daddy and I were going to have a gender reveal party, but we decided to keep the moment intimate just the three of us (and the Ultra Sound tech). Daddy and I wanted to guess if you were a boy or girl, and I couldn't tell by the ultra sound, but your daddy guessed instantly! We were ECSTATIC to find out we are going to have a daughter. You are a wiggly worm and have been moving a lot. I finally felt your first little kicks, subtle and sweet. The doctor said you look just great and you are healthy as can be! As your mother, nothing could make me happier than hearing that. We are half way through the pregnancy at 20 weeks and you are the size of a BANANA! Daddy has been rubbing my back often and hugging my tummy (he's really giving you hugs) especially now that I'm growing even more and we know who you are. We have your name picked out and are very excited to start planning for your arrival. Your cousin Maycee already told me she is going to teach you how to walk on your tiptoes and teach you her ballerina moves. Daddy and I love you so much our sweet girl. Lots and Lots of hugs and kisses xoxoxo

Love,

Your Mommy

Come Unto Christ

I absolutely love this time of the year. Not necessarily for the long days and more sunshine (even though I love that), but for Easter and General Conference. I am very excited that we get these two special days to reflect on back to back weekends. This is such a special time for the world to understand the Sacrifice Jesus Christ made for all of us and to understand our individual missions in this world.

General Conference is such an amazing time to listen to our prophets and church leaders and pray fervently about what we are called to do, how to be a better person, and how to humble ourselves daily and come unto Christ. It is so easy for people, and I know especially myself, to get wrapped up in the world and our busy lives. This is the time to make those realizations, become aware, and adjust our daily lives around the gospel.  I am so grateful for the Gospel and the Sacrifice our beautiful Savior made for us to live with Our Father in Heaven again. I know our Redeemer lives and I am so grateful to be apart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have seen the blessings in our household and I will continue to stay steadfast and immovable through these Latter-Days. I know without a doubt Our Heavenly Father loves us so much and I want to do everything I can to show how much I love him back. It is not always an easy path, but it is a path that is worth it for all eternity.

Ether 12:27 "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."

This is one of my favorite scriptures, that I seem to stumble upon at the most perfect moments. Sometimes, we do not understand why we face certain trials in our lives or why we feel weak at times. I have found it is ok to feel weak, we are not perfect, humble ourselves and come unto Christ and we will receive the strength we are looking for.

Fun Filled Week

This past week was a great week. Still quite fatigued, but trying to stay productive as possible, especially with cooking. It was so hard for me to be in the kitchen the first part of pregnancy, but now that I'm in the second trimester and haven't had any sickness for two weeks (WHOOOO) I want to cook and make everything! I'm so happy my cravings are healthy cravings. Fruits and veggies are my thing right now, I seriously can't get enough. Driving by a fast food restaurant makes me cringe a little. (Hope that stays with me after pregnancy).

Apart from fruits and veggies the only meat I truly enjoy is chicken. After making my own rendition of this recipe I found on pinterest, this is the only way I want to eat chicken for now.

delicious and also very easy. To follow this recipe click  here
I didn't exactly follow this recipe, but delicious with a mixture of seasonings.

Gaining the energy to get back into the routine of exercise was also a battle these past two weeks. I am so happy that Courtney and I are both in our 2nd Trimester and have each other to talk to about our first pregnancy symptoms. We also have committed to walking together 3 times a week. It has been great and with the beautiful weather even better! Courtney and I just met through our ward last August and I am so grateful to have her in my life. She has become such a great friend.

Speaking of great friends, my BIG sis (sorority big sis) and I got together this week for some grocery shopping and errand running! She is quite the motivator when it comes to "HOW TO ORGANIZE". I love the new home her and her husband have created together and I'm sure a lot of my increase in energy came from hanging out with her. I just love my Big. :o)

Wyatt and I also had time this week to take a little trip outside of Fresno. The trip was not too far, but it gave us time to reflect a little on our future. Any time spent with my hubby is worth while. I don't think I laugh as hard with anyone else! Of course, didn't take ANY pictures. I'm so lame! But I do have these. Wyatt and I have too much fun in bed right before we go to sleep. Its more of a delirious fun, so you could probably tell how much we got a kick out of these! The first one of Wyatt is my FAVORITE! haha

HAPPY WEEKEND!
